a.p.e. 2010 this weekend!

i will be sharing a table with my friend liz walsh at this years alternative press expo this weekend in sunny san francisco. I'll have a lot of different high quality prints. tshirts and comics even. including my new graphic novel Escape from Dullsville.

thar be buzz...

WOW. This is unusual but i'm alreaady getting buzz about escape from dullsville.

First I was contacted by the blog Comics and...Other Imaginary Tales for more info on my upcoming book. See what they had to say about my book in their indie preview section of the blog.

And then i got a Psychedelic A.P.E. award for 2009 from the website Psychedelic Central, an international music magazine focusing on psych music. You can see their A.P.E. review here. The review is written up by none other than John Thompson, who was not only one of the pioneers of San Francisco underground comics in the 60's but whom talking to was one of my personal highlights from last years wondercon.

A.P.E.!!!!

almost ready for ape! And it's a good thing because it's this weekend. mainly just waiting for some books in the mail. but here's the spread of things i'll have at my table.

this is my first time having a table that isn't the fine folks at SLG, and I'm pretty excited about it even if we are way in the back! table's 259 and 260 (see image below.) not sure which one of the two i will be at. but i will be sharing it with two good friends Liz Walsh and Alex Theodoropolis.

Also Andrew Farago was kind enough to ask me to participate in the Bay Area Young Cartoonist Panel with some other cool artists on Sunday.

Tshirts for A.p.e.

i'm getting really excited about a.p.e. this year. It's the first year i've had my own table with a few friends and I plan to have a ton of stuff for sale. Posters, prints, records, comics, a new artbook, zines, tshirts, cards, shrinky dinks, and probably some artwork as well.

I'm planning on have a very limited run of one or two different types of shirts at the show. limited number because i'm printing them up myself in the garage. If they sell well i'll definitely print more. Below is one of the designs you! (the colors on the final shirt might be different)
