Ristaino has been described as the "William S. Burroughs/Charlie Kaufman of alternative comix" by the locally founded arts and culture magazine, Hi-Fructose.
His comic work includes two Graphic Novels - "ESCAPE From DULLSVILLE" and “THE BABYSITTER”, published by SLG, and has been featured in comic book anthologies such as Popgun, Meathaus S.O.S., Nickelodeon Magazine, Spectrum, Go for the Gold, Tales of Hot Rod Horror, Spark Generators, and Pet Noir.
On display will be original comic pages, a wide variety of illustrations, prints, and album artwork for the bay area psych band Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound.
the art will also be on display at mission: comics & art daily Tuesday through Sunday 12 - 8pm.
