on Kreativ blogging and such...

Chris Vear was kind enough to nominate me for a kreativ blogger award!

Now what the hell is a creative blogger award you might ask. here are the "original" rules.

1. You must thank the person who has given you the award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link the person who has nominated you for the award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate 7 other Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on which of the blogs to let them know they have been nominated.

It smells of chain letter to me, but a relatively nice and harmless one. Normally I wouldn't forward chain letters, but I think the nomination is more about giving your friends and people you admire a little bit of appreciation and props for the works that they do and share with everyone out there in the ether-world.

After looking around a little and managed to find that the kreativ blogger award was originally created in Norway by Husfruas Memoarer. since don't speak (or read) a lick of Norwegian, it's easier to see how things developed by popping over to Carol Garvin's blog where she explains it all quite nicely. In the original version there were no real strings attached to the whole thing. somewhere along the way somebody added all the rules so I'd rather revert to something more within he original spirit of the award.

A lot of my friends have already received nominations, so i focused mostly on people of whom I just admire their work.

below is my version change it around if you'd like:

YOU'VE WON THE KREATIV BLOGGER AWARD!
that means somebody on the interwebs likes what your doing! keep it up!
IF there is someone whose been blogging and you want to give them an award for doing so, please do! (not limited to blogger accounts.)
IF you don't want to do anything of the sort, then don't!
IF you want to you can use the image in the blog post as the "award" or you can design your own.
I guess tell them you gave them an award if you did.
PLEASE edit the parameters as you see fit.

and my nominations are:

Pascal Campion: fastest wacom in the west! An uber-creative animation and design powerhouse that I happen to share a studio with.

Katie Rice: Amazing designer of all things funny and cute. I don't know katie but i've been diggin' on her work for the past few years.

Sam Hiti: Some of the juiciest brush strokes on the interwebs. Always churning out cool images.

Paul Robertson: Has direct access to the cauldron of pop culture. filters his brew through a precise an arrangement of pixels.

Claudio Acciari: Channels the spirit of 70's and 80's anime. really fun stuff.

Thanks for creating!
